Trelstar Injection

Trelstar® (triptorelin pamoate) is a prescription drug used to treat prostate cancer that has metastasized (spread to other parts of the body). It belongs to a group of medications called gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists. Like other GnRH agonists, Trelstar slows the growth of prostate cancer cells and reduces symptoms.

Trelstar is given as an intramuscular, or IM, injection (an injection given into the muscle) every one, three, or six months. Each injection will be given by your healthcare provider in a healthcare setting, such as a doctor's office or clinic.
