PROVENGE® (sipuleucel-T) is approved to treat prostate cancer that has spread to other areas of the body (metastasized). It is specifically designed for adult men who are not responding to hormone treatment and who have no or minimal prostate cancer symptoms.
There are also some unapproved, or "off-label," uses for this medicine. For example, some off-label uses include using PROVENGE for early cancer treatment (before the cancer has spread) and for the treatment of prostate cancer in men who are experiencing more than minimal prostate cancer symptoms.
