Zoladex Drug Information

Zoladex® (goserelin acetate implant) is a drug prescribed to treat advanced prostate cancer, advanced breast cancer, and certain gynecological conditions. This medicine is available as an implant that is surgically inserted just under the skin of the abdomen (stomach). It is specifically designed to gradually release a specific amount of medicine over a 4-week or 12-week period, depending on the strength of the implant used.
 
Although it is generally well tolerated, this drug is not suitable for everyone. Before using Zoladex, make sure your healthcare provider has up-to-date information on your medical history and a list of your current medications. In particular, let your healthcare provider know if you have osteoporosis, diabetes, or heart disease.
