Jevtana Chemotherapy Information

Jevtana® (cabazitaxel) is available only by prescription and is used to treat prostate cancer. This chemotherapy drug is not appropriate for everyone; your healthcare provider needs complete information on your medical history and what medications you are taking before prescribing Jevtana.

Although some people tolerate this medicine quite well, most people will develop side effects.
Some of the most common reactions include anemia and low levels of certain white blood cells (these are determined using a simple blood test).

Jevtana is administered intravenously (through an IV) once every three weeks. It is combined with oral prednisone tablets, which are taken every day during the treatment period, even between Jevtana infusions.
