Flutamide Drug Information

Flutamide (Eulexin®) is a prescription medication approved for the treatment of prostate cancer. This antiandrogen drug comes in capsule form and is generally started at the same time as another drug: a gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist. When taken together, these medicines slow down the growth of cancer cells by affecting the release and action of testosterone.

Prior to beginning treatment with flutamide, inform your healthcare provider about all other medicines you are taking and any other medical conditions you have. If you have liver disease or a blood disorder, for example, you may not be able to take this medication.
