Does Pomegranate Work for COPD?
Sometimes, pomegranates are claimed to be helpful for treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). However, a short-term study suggests that pomegranates probably don't have much of an effect on COPD, at least in terms of respiratory function.

Does Pomegranate Work for Cancer?
Early studies have suggested that pomegranate juice might slow down the progression of prostate cancer, after surgery or radiation treatments were performed. Specifically, studies have shown that pomegranate juice may slow down the production of prostate-specific antigen (PSA), a marker of prostate cancer progression.

Does Pomegranate Work for Impotence?
There is not enough evidence to suggest that pomegranates work to treat impotence (also known as erectile dysfunction, or ED). Animal studies have suggested that pomegranates may be helpful for treating impotence that is caused by problems in the blood vessels. However, because human studies have never been done, it is too early to know if pomegranates have any effect on treating erectile dysfunction.

Final Thoughts on Pomegranate Effectiveness
