Can Children Use Vantas?

This medication is not approved for use in children. Talk with your child's healthcare provider about the particular benefits and risks of using this medicine in children. Another form of histrelin (the active ingredient in Vantas), Supprelin® LA, is approved for use in children who have early-onset puberty.

Is It Safe for Older Adults?

Vantas is primarily used in older adults. It has been studied extensively in older adults, as the majority of men in the Vantas clinical trials were 65 years old and older.

Off-Label Uses

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend this medicine for something other than the uses discussed in this article. This is known as an "off-label" use. Possible off-label uses of Vantas include the treatment of other types of cancer, such as ovarian or pancreatic cancer.
