Serious Side Effects

Some side effects of Vantas are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:
  • Blood in the urine
  • Difficulty urinating
  • Persistent or extreme bone pain
  • Severe reactions at the implantation site, such as:
    • Extreme redness
    • Pain
    • Swelling
    • Pus
    • Bleeding
  • Signs of anemia, such as:


    • Fatigue
    • Pale skin
    • Dizziness
    • Shortness of breath
  • A fast, irregular, or forcefully beating heart
  • Swelling in the legs, ankles, or feet
  • Signs of liver problems, such as:
    • Dark urine
    • Loss of appetite
    • Fatigue or excessive tiredness
    • Pain in the upper-right area of the abdomen (stomach)
    • Yellowing of the whites of the eyes or skin (jaundice)
  • Mood changes, such as:
    • Sudden severe headaches
    • Blurred vision
    • Slurred speech
    • One-sided numbness or weakness of the face, arm, or leg
  • Signs of a blood clot, such as:
    • Severe pain
    • Swelling
    • Weakness
    • Numbness of an arm or leg
  • Signs of a blood clot in the lung, such as:


    • Shortness of breath
    • Sudden chest pain
    • Coughing up blood
    • Frequent urination
    • Increased thirst
    • Blurred vision
    • Fatigue
    • Weight loss
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:
    • Hives
    • Itching
    • Unexplained swelling of the mouth or throat
    • Wheezing
    • Difficulty breathing or swallowing.
