Prostate Cancer Home > Lupron Depot Uses
Because of its actions on sex hormones in the body, Lupron Depot can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions, including precocious puberty, advanced prostate cancer, uterine fibroids, and endometriosis. The drug mimics a naturally occurring hormone in the body that slows down or blocks the release of testosterone and estrogen. Lupron Depot only works when given as an injection and should not be taken by mouth.
