Dosing Information for Fentanyl Nasal Spray

The fentanyl nasal spray dose your healthcare provider recommends will vary, depending on a number of factors, including:
  • Your level of pain
  • How you respond to the medication
  • Other medications you are taking
  • Other medical conditions you may have.
As is always the case, do not adjust your dosage unless your healthcare provider specifically tells you to do so.

What If I Forget a Dose?

Fentanyl nasal spray is used on an "as-needed" basis. If you forget a dose and are in pain, just use the medication as soon as you remember, as long as it has been at least two hours since your last dose. Do not use a double dose, or use more than four doses a day.
