Prostate Cancer Home > Emcyt Warnings and Precautions

Who Should Not Take Emcyt?

You should not take Emcyt if you:

  • Are allergic to it, estramustine, nitrogen mustards, estradiol, or any of the inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.

  • Have blood clots or a blood-clotting disorder, unless your blood clot problems are caused by your tumor and your healthcare provider determines the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks.

Final Thoughts

There are a number of situations in which Emcyt should not be used, along with several safety concerns people should be aware of before taking it. However, it is possible that not all of these issues were discussed in this article. Therefore, you should talk with your healthcare provider about the specific warnings and precautions with Emcyt that may apply to you.
