Jevtana Side Effects

Side Effects to Report

Many of the side effects of Jevtana are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:

  • Signs or symptoms of any infection, such as a fever
  • Easy bruising or bleeding
  • Severe nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, which can lead to dangerous dehydration
  • Signs of a serious allergic reaction or a less serious infusion reaction, such as:

    • An unexplained rash
    • Itching
    • Hives
    • Redness of the face
    • Swelling of the mouth or throat
    • Wheezing
    • Difficulty breathing
    • Low blood pressure
    • Chest pain.

You should alert your healthcare provider to any signs or symptoms of such a reaction right away during your IV infusion. Your healthcare provider may need to slow down the IV or stop it altogether and administer medications to control the reaction.

Allergic reactions, especially those that involve low blood pressure, wheezing, or swelling of the mouth or throat, can be extremely dangerous and always require immediate medical attention.

Final Thoughts

You may experience some or none of the side effects listed in this article. Unfortunately, there is no way for your healthcare provider to know beforehand if you will have problems with a medicine that you have never tried.

Therefore, make sure to let your healthcare provider know if you develop any side effects while using Jevtana or if something "just does not seem right." While it may not be related to the medication, your healthcare provider will be able to diagnose and treat the problem.
