Firmagon Problems

Although most people tolerate Firmagon® (degarelix) well, problems may occur and can include potentially serious side effects. For example, contact your healthcare provider if you develop complications such as:

  • Difficulty urinating or painful urination
  • An irregular heartbeat
  • Abdominal (stomach) pain or swelling
  • Yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes (jaundice).

It is also important to tell your healthcare provider about any existing medical conditions you may have, including osteoporosis, heart disease, or any allergies. Firmagon can also cause potentially serious drug interactions when combined with certain medications that change the heart rhythm.
