Casodex
Are There Side Effects?
Just like any medicine, Casodex can cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience problems. Most people tolerate it quite well.If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious reactions are less common.
Some of the most common side effects of Casodex include but are not limited to:
- Hot flashes
- Body pain
- Weakness
- Constipation
- Nausea.

Drug Interactions With Casodex
Casodex may react with a number of other medications (see Casodex Drug Interactions).You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to taking this medication if you have:
- Liver disease, such as hepatitis, cirrhosis, or liver failure
- Diabetes
- Anemia or other blood cell problems
- Any allergies, including to foods, dyes, or preservatives.
Also, let your healthcare provider know if you are:
- Pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant (see Casodex and Pregnancy)
- Breastfeeding (see Casodex and Breastfeeding).
Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you are taking, including prescription and nonprescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
