Were you looking for information about Casodex? Casadex is a common misspelling of Casodex.
Available by prescription only, Casodex® (bicalutamide) is a drug used to treat prostate cancer that has metastasized, or spread, to other areas of the body. It is considered an "antiandrogen" because it blocks the actions of androgens (male hormones) in the body.
The medication comes in the form of a tablet and is always used in combination with a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist, such as leuprolide (Eligard®, Lupron®, Lupron Depot®) or goserelin acetate implant (Zoladex®).
